Freedom Crane Service
September's Project of the Month Winner
Job Description: "Now, with 11 cranes, we are true competitors in the Reno, NV crane rental marketplace. This project was special for us. This was the first time we did a long-distance max pick with our new 2025 Liebherr 1100 5.3. We received a call from a homeowner who had scheduled with another company to set up a swim spa behind their house. Our competitor bailed on them the night before the scheduled lift. To say the least, the homeowner was in a panic, with multiple trades scheduled to show up the next morning. The crane from the other company scheduled to make this lift was a 240-ton Grove all-terrain truck crane. This crane would have required 4 trailer loads of counterweight & a swing on boom extension to capacity this pick at 185', this would have disrupted the neighborhood all day. To our advantage, we were able to make this lift safely with full counterweight all included on a single 33' trailer. With a main boom length of 203' of super lightweight boom, the Liebherr could make the lift with ease. Our crew was in and out of the neighborhood in 2 hours. Leading to little disruption to the neighborhood and few headaches for neighbors. We were able to keep the other trades on schedule, put the homeowner at ease & save the day. Freedom Crane Service Corp. gives thanks to CCG and our sales representative for taking the risk on 2 crane operators who had a dream and have been true partners in bringing a dream from conception to reality."
